09.05.2025 - Biennale Architettura in Venice

The first room of the Biennale Architettura 2025 in Venice is hot – literally – and contains suspended air-conditioning units and a pool of what looks to be oil. It’s a promising opening devised by climate scholars Sonia Seneviratne and David N. Bresch in collaboration with Fondazione Pistoletto Cittadellarte, Transsolar and environmental historian Daniel A. Barber (The Third Paradise Perspective). Heat and visuals combine to offer a vision of a future in which the temperature has soared.
